Wow. Been a long time, eh?....heheheheh....uh...yeeeeah...mmm...okay...

Okay, let me get right down to business. My upcoming webcomic is on temporary hiatus until I get a few personal things squared away. To the 2.5 people reading this and interested, don't worry I will get back on track with it, and it will be worth the wait. Promise.

However, I have still been creating- writing in fact. I created a short story which I am planning on lengthening a bit to fit a picture book format. Anyway, I entered the 'abridged' version into a great contest which the super folks at The Paper Wings Podcast put on. The voting began at the beginning of this past week (which is why I am posting this now? Way to go Captain OnTopOfThings!). You can still get your vote in by going here and 'liking' it using the Facebook icon on the left share bar.

In the meantime, I finished and sent off some sketch card commissions recently. Here, take a peek:

As soon as I nail down the main characters and general overall feel I will make an "official" post about it, but for now, I will post development sketches and progress art until then. Should be in within a couple of weeks or so, but my wife and I are expecting our sixth towards the end of this month so, that's a loose statement! ^_^

To start things off here are some very early character sketches, one of which, I think, invokes my love for the strip "Dick Tracy" originally created by Chester Gould, but as of recent drawn by one of my early idols Dick Locher and written by Max Allen Collins. Currently I think it is carried on by Joe Stanton and Mike Curtis if I'm not mistakened. That strip, along with Calvin n' Hobbes (and others), really kept my dreams of becoming a cartoonist alive and inspired. Anyway, here's a the first peek:
